Christmas tree hunting trip
We went up to Idaho to cut down our Christmas tree last Sunday. We did this last year and had soo much fun that we are making it a tradition every year.
Aiden hiked with Nick to the top of the mountain to find the perfect tree. Aiden was the one that picked it out.
We found a skull of a Moose with 3 point antlers. That we brought home with us to put up at our property. (for decoration I guess :)
Nikaylee loved being up in the mountains. She looked like the kid from the Christmas Story in her snow suit. She couldn't even move! So Cute.
Aiden's New Cat
So, I took the kids to the Humane Society to pick out a kitten about 1 1/2 weeks ago.
When we arrived there were SO many kittens and cats to look at and pick from. There were little babies that were soo playful and fluffy.
But, Aiden already had his eye on this one that was just laying in the cage...sleeping. He would not leave her side or look at any of the others.
He just sat there and was petting her through the cage.
I told him that we should get this cute fluffy playful kitten and he just started bawling.... (a heart broken cry) and he said "mom we have to get this one I love this one" I said "Why do you like this one so much? she is just laying there sleeping?" and he said while he was crying "Because, this one is Special mom!, We can't leave it here..."
So, of course I gave in and we adopted the kitten that Aiden thought was so special. When we were in the process of adopting her they told me that she had a cold but, that it wasn't a big deal and they gave me some antibiotics for her. So, we left.
I took her in for another vet check and apparently she is really sick. They gave her more antibiotics. Maybe this is why he thought she was so special and we had to have her because the Humane Society can't afford the correct antibiotics for sick animals.
